Orc Spider Riders
I've been really focusing on drawing so much that painting has been taking a back seat. So I wanted to share the stages of my latest painting. There were earlier rewrites but these images are the more worthy of showing. We have the sketch to the acrylic painting on canvas to the beefed up photoshop version. On the last version I just messed with the levels and added some shadows.

Alex M. Alderete Creature Concept Art
I'm including all of my recent creature concept art that are part of a my Concept Art portfolio. This'll be applied to film/fantasy/video game work. Studying from Mike Butkus and Allen Williams have really improved my illustration skills. Especially transitioning from a fine art background these artist are giving me a great education with every piece they create. Right now I freelance for film, clothing/skateboard companies and it seems everything in between.
My first four pieces are pages from the fantastic new dark children's book GRAVEDIGGER written my David McWane with amazing musician Liz Lysinger composing the score. This is the greatest project I've worked on and I can't wait for the world to see it!
